Behind the songs

SONG STORIES

TOO LATE

Single, 2021

A man does everything he can to not be home. Long hours at the office, another drink, another smoke, anything that keeps the night going so the marriage can't reach him. Then one day she stops waiting and leaves, and the empty house gets loud. Her perfume is still on the pillow, and it kills him a little every night. He finally understands what he was running from, and what he broke. But some words have an expiry date, and "I'm sorry" is one of them. It was already too late.

COWARD

Single, 2025

On the surface it's defiance: know your value, hold your course, let people talk and whine while you keep walking. But the song turns that on itself. The hardest voice to face isn't the crowd, it's the one in your own head. "Am I a coward to myself?" Not to them, to me. It's about the fear of playing it safe, of not reaching far enough, of betraying your own worth to avoid the fall. You can stand tall against the whole world and still wonder if you're backing down from yourself. That's the fight the song is really about.

SCARS

Single, 2025

Some wounds never close, they just stop bleeding. Scars is about that distance: the betrayal that once ran your whole life, the nights you tried to drown it, and the slow climb out the other side. You come back stronger, but you don't come back clean. The marks are still there, and you learn to carry them without flinching. That's the whole song, one wordless "wow" hook and a wall of heavy riffs behind it: not the pain, but what's left of you after it.

LILIES

Single, 2025

The darkest love song in the catalog. She lies still and pale, her hand cold around a bouquet of lilies, and he holds on like the world outside the room doesn't exist. They say this love is a sin. He doesn't argue, and he doesn't leave. What exactly keeps the two of them in that room is for the listener to decide. Together in life or death, with memories, shadows and ghosts.

SUPERNOVA

EP title track, 2023

Time is the only thing money can't buy, and in the end it's what matters most. Supernova came out of years of digging inward, through therapy and a few journeys deep into his own mind: old memories resurfacing, wrong choices forgiven, the strength that comes from starting over. Everything is about today.

MUDDY BOOTS

Single, 2023

A murder ballad in the oldest tradition. A man with a perfect life in Tennessee: a wife, a little daughter, the land. Then one night at the bar he hears what everyone else already knew. He comes home early under a full moon and finds muddy boots at the door that are not his. The wife and her lover end up at the bottom of the well, keeping their secret together forever. Now it's just him and his daughter. And on full-moon nights, they say you can still hear a mother calling her baby's name.

DIRT ROAD

Single, 2024

The bright side of the same countryside where Muddy Boots lives. Two lovers and a home on wheels, taking the long way on purpose. Dust clouds in the mirror, a sun setting through the windshield, nowhere they need to be. They learn the road and they learn each other, every bump a chance to grow. The world fades away until it's just the two of them, hearts entwined, forever free.

LOST ON YOU

Single, 2022

This one found me during a hard stretch of my life. I got on the motorcycle and rode far, a month on the road, and the whole way this song refused to leave my ears. The strange thing about the original is that the lyrics are devastating, but the song sounds almost happy. When I came home I knew what I wanted to do: strip that brightness away and let the words weigh what they actually weigh. A completely reimagined version, dark and epic, with a piano that carries half the grief.

NO OTHER WAY OUT

Single, 2021

This one is for a friend who took his own life. Everyone saw the same man: funny, loved, the light in the room. Nobody saw the dark place he was actually living in. The song carries the anger and the questions of the ones left behind. Why didn't you say anything? One word and we would have come running. You broke our blood pact and left this world. For a long time it felt like selfishness. The understanding came slower, and it lives in the title: if he did it, it's because for him there was no other way out.
